Was ein Theaterfestival war, ist nun ein Festival der Künste. Blickfelder wird vom 14. bis 27. März 2011 die Bühnen wichtiger Zürcher Kulturhäuser beleben, sein Publikum herausfordern und dazu animieren, selber künstlerisch tätig zu werden.

Kinder und Jugendliche werden in verschiedenen Ateliers und Workshops selber dichten, singen, filmen, schauspielern, musizieren und gestalten können. Die Kreationen der SchülerInnen werden das Festival als «Blickpunkte» und «Wilde Blüten» bereichern.

Wir haben auch «Zugvögel» zu bieten, nämlich Konzerte und Lesungen von Profis sowie zeitgenössische Tanz- und Theaterstücke renommierter Gruppen aus Belgien, Deutschland, Holland und der Schweiz. Ihre Produktionen richten sich an Menschen von 2 bis etwa 102 Jahren und thematisieren das Leben radikal, humorvoll und poetisch.

Das Zentrum von Blickfelder 2011 wird der Stall 6 vom Theaterhaus Gessnerallee bilden. Auch im benachbarten Theater der Künste, im el Lokal und im nahe gelegenen Haus Konstruktiv wird das Festival gegenwärtig sein. Im Schauspielhaus mit Pfauen und Schiffbau, im Theater PurPur, in der Tonhalle, im Tanzhaus, im Theater Stadelhofen, im GZ Buchegg und im Museum Bellerive werden weitere Blickfelder-Veranstaltungen zu geniessen sein. Die Kooperation mit diesen Häusern war inspirierend und fruchtbar. Wir danken allen herzlich, die mitgedacht und mitgeholfen haben, Blickfelder 2011 zu realisieren.

Linard Bardill, Franz Hohler, Laurin Buser, Guy Krneta, Fabienne Hadorn und andere famose KünstlerInnen haben wir im Programm. Und Ursus Wehrli. Er wird am Festivalende im Stall 6 der Gessnerallee die Blickfelder-Kunst aufräumen und Objekte der Installation «Wilde Blüten, schräge Vögel» versteigern.

What was a theatre festival is now an arts festival. From March 14 to 27, Blickfelder enlivens the stages of important cultural hotspots in Zurich, challenges its audiences and encourages them to develop their creative side. Its workshops provide opportunities for children and young people to compose poetry, sing, shoot video, act, make music and generally be creative.

The resulting flights of fancy help enrich the festival in the form of 'focal points' and 'wild blooms'. We're also offering concerts and readings by professionals, plus dance and theatre performances courtesy of notable ensembles from Belgium, Germany, the Netherlands and Switzerland. With their radical, humorous and whimsical takes on life, their productions suit audiences between the ages of 2 and (approximately) 102.

Blickfelder 2011 is centred on the Theaterhaus Gessnerallee with its alternative Stall 6 venue. The festival is also taking place at the neighbouring Theater der Künste, at the el Lokal and at the nearby Haus Konstruktiv. Other events and performances can be caught in and around Zurich at the Schauspielhaus with its Pfauen and Schiffbau venues, at the Tonhalle, at the Tanzhaus, at the Stadelhofen theatre, at the GZ Buchegg community centre and at the Bellerive Museum. Collaboration with these centres of creative talent has been an experience which has been both inspirational and fruitful. We would like to thank everyone involved in helping us conceptualise and realise Blickfelder 2011. The programme presents Linard Bardill, Franz Hohler, Laurin Buser, Guy Krneta, Fabienne Hadorn and other superb artists. Not forgetting Ursus Wehrli. At the end of the festival, he will be 'tidying up' the Blickfelder art works at the Theaterhaus Gessnerallee's Stall 6 venue and auctioning off objects from the Wilde Blüten, schräge Vögel [wild blooms, odd birds] installation.
